Nadia Venable Hall Scholarship Fund
History
Hugh P. Hall, Jr. created this endowement in 1999 to honor his mother, Nadia Venable Hall. Nadia was born April 27, 1889. She dedicated 35 years to public service; 12 years as a public school teacher in Alachua and Sumter Counties and 23 years as postmaster in Center Hill. Nadia passed away in February, 1973.
Criteria
Need-based undergraduate students residing in Sumter County, FL (as it existed in 1998) with emphasis on SAT scores and GPA, preference to students who were employed in high school.
