History
Robert L. Rose, a 1957 UF alumnus, was involved in many university activities, including service as president of Zeta Beta Tau and the Washington, D.C. Gator Club. At 24, he was one of the youngest conferees to receive a Chartered Life Underwriter degree. He also served as trustee of the National Association of Life Underwriters. Rose was a Fightin' Gator through and through, and he would often drive from his home in Maryland with his brother, Allan (UF '54), to attend homecoming. Because of his love for and devotion to the university, friends and family established this scholarship to eternalize his memory.
