Gainesville Charitable Foundation, Inc. Masonic Scholarship Fund
History
This scholarship endowment was created by the Gainesville Charitable Foundation, Inc., to support deserving students at the University of Florida. Since 1981, the Gainesville Charitable Foundation has assisted children and adults who live in Alachua County and surrounding areas who suffer from disabling or other deleterious conditions. Through charitable donations, scholarships, grants, and other means, the Foundation has contributed more than $1,500,000, since its inception, to deserving individuals and organizations.
Criteria
Undergraduate or graduate student who has completed at least one academic semester at the University of Florida with a cumulative grade point average of no less than 3.0 (undergraduate) or 3.5 (graduate). The recipient of the award must be in good standing with the University and free of conduct probation. He or she must be a Florida Master Mason or relative of a Florida Master Mason, in good standing, of a lodge recognized by the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Florida.
