Endowed Scholarships & Fellowships
Daniel Leroy Claville, Jr. Scholarship Fund
History
The estate of Nannie I. Gills Claville, a 1939 graduate of UF, established this fund in 1985 to enhance educational opportunities for students and to honor her husband.
While full co-education at UF began in 1947, UF began admitting a handful of women each year, beginning in 1925, to programs unavailable at the Florida State College for Women (now Florida State University). Nannie Claville participated in this selective admission program.
Criteria
