Endowed Gifts
You can create a permanent fund for a specific purpose at UF. Your fund will be invested and managed by the University of Florida Foundation to provide a steady and reliable income stream forever. Endowments may be named to honor you or some other appropriate person.
Here are a few endowment options at UF. The minimum amount required to create an endowment is $30,000. Each may take advantage of the State of Florida's matching gift program to reach the minimum required. For more detailed information on endowed gifts, contact:

Some examples:
- Named endowed scholarships or fellowships
A privately endowed scholarship or fellowship is awarded on need or merit year after year - Named endowed professorships
A permanently funded faculty position requires an endowment of at least $600,000, depending upon the area of expertise. - Program endowments
Or, you may endow a fund to sponsor teaching, research and programs in one of UF's colleges, departments, institutes or centers.
