Mary Ann Harn Cofrin

Mary Ann Harn Cofrin is daughter of the late Samuel P. Harn for whom the Harn Museum of Art is named. She is a native Floridian from a prominent family, and she has been especially involved in supporting the arts. Mary Ann and her husband, Dr. David Cofrin, have focused their philanthropic efforts on the arts, education, nature preservation and community development, particularly in communities where they or their children live or have lived.

Facility History

The Outstanding Achievement Award, the highest awarded by the City Beautification Board, was given to the Harn Museum for its new Mary Ann Harn Cofrin Pavilion, which opened in 2005. The pavilion has approximately 6,500 square feet of additional exhibition space, a café, an outdoor landscaped plaza with water features, and multifunction space to be used for meetings, workshops and educational activities. The 18,000-square-foot addition is LEED-certified by the U.S. Green Building Council and makes the museum one of the largest university art museums in the Southeast.
