Jacksonville couple Jerry W. and Judith S. Davis, both survivors of cancer, helped bring a comprehensive cancer center to the University of Florida. Jerry Davis, a 1968 graduate of UF’s College of Journalism and Communications, is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Computer Management Sciences, Inc. (CMSX/NASDAQ) aquired by Computer Associates, Inc. Mr. Davis is currently a private investor.
Facility History
The Judith S. and Jerry W. Davis Cancer Center, named in 2000, houses outpatient cancer care at the UF Health Science Center’s Gainesville campus. The four-story, 115,000 square-foot ambulatory building includes clinics providing treatment in radiation oncology, adult oncology-hematology and skin cancer.
