Honoree

Keith Koenig

Koenig received a bachelor’s degree in 1973 and a master’s degree in business administration in 1975, both from the University of Florida. Koenig used the high-risk, high-potential rate of return principal that he learned at UF to turn his 1971 waterbed business, Waterbed City, into South Florida's largest home furnishings business known now as City Furniture. Years later, Keith and his wife, Doreen, continue to share their success with the University of Florida and the Warrington College of Business Administration.

Koenig is the President and CEO of City Furniture in Florida and an advisor to the Warrington College of Business. He serves on the Dean's Business Advisory Council, the MBA Advisory Board and the Executive Advisory Board for the David F. Miller Center for Retailing Education and Research.
