Team VetMed rules the Horse Farm Hundred
[10 Years 1000 Miles - Horse Farm Hundred logo]The weather was cloudy and cool, but the excitement was high as 66 Team VetMed riders set off Sunday morning for the 100-mile ride. Ellis Greiner and Joe DiPietro lead the 55-mile group. Jim Thompson and Charlie Courtney rode the century with the main pack. Dean Hoffsis surprised everyone and rode 55 miles for his first time ever! It was a thrill to see so many extraordinary people in the team jersey ready to ride. The team spirit, enthusiasm and dedication were inspiring. Everyone completed the course. Even with a few flats and one minor crash - it was still a perfect ride.

Thank you for your support of Team VetMed and the Horse Farm Hundred held on Sunday, October 21, 2007. Because of generous donors like you, we are pleased to report that Team VetMed raised more than $28,000 to help support college scholarships for our veterinary students!

The scholarship has been renamed the Joseph DiPietro Horse Farm Hundred Scholarship. To date, the fund has over $150,000. Four $1,000 scholarships were awarded this fall.

Alumni Council Meeting November 3
The Fall Alumni Council met Saturday, November 3 before the homecoming game. The meeting minutes will be posted on the alumni affairs web site in the future.
