Mr. Alcorn retired as senior vice president, controller and chief procurement officer for JCPenney Co. in 2008. He had worked at JCPenney since 1968. Mr. Alcorn was born in Kentucky but grew up in St. Petersburg. He is a CPA and a member of AICPA, the Texas Society of CPAs and the Financial Executives International. He is the vice chair of the Dallas Zoological Management Board and on the board of the Women’s Museum and the Contact Crisis line. He currently serves as chief financial officer for the North Texas Food Bank. He is a former chair of Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, an organization that supports businesses owned by women. At the University of Florida, he serves on the executive advisory board for the David F. Miller Center for Retailing Education and Research and the Dallas Regional Committee. He graduated from UF in 1971 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Mr. Alcorn and his wife, Patti, live in Frisco, Texas.
Ms. Allen is a retired bank executive who served as president of Barnett Bank of the Treasure Coast in Vero Beach, Barnett Bank of Southwest Florida in Sarasota and Barnett Banks Trust Company in Jacksonville. She attended the University of Florida and is a graduate of Central Florida Business College, American Institute of Banking, Essentials of Bank Marketing School and the Florida School of Banking at the University of Florida. Ms. Allen’s history of community service includes serving as president of the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce and president of the Education Foundation of Indian River County. She has served in a leadership capacity on many boards of directors, including United Way, Riverside Children’s Theatre, Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, Indian River Community Foundation, VNA and Hospice Foundation, and Impact 100, a women’s giving circle in Vero Beach. She currently serves as a member of the Shands Cancer Hospital campaign council. Ms. Allen and her husband, Bob, a professor emeritus from the UF College of Health and Human Performance, reside in Vero Beach and have five children and five grandchildren.
